I met Vijay at the Essex fair and was immediately struck by his love of the wine he has created. I am a particular fan of Cab Franc and it's not easy to find (a decent one) these days so thought I would try some from Vin Vineyards. It arrived very promptly and very well wrapped. Lovely dark complex flavours, clearly a high quality product. When I have drunk these ones I will certainly be ordering some more, I am also looking forward to trying his Paru blend which I also included in my order. Highly recommend!

Wow. We have enjoyed the “Paanam 2018 Melbeck” tonight with a succulent steak. The wine was delicious. Full bodied with notes of dark fruits. An oakiness as back a note. Smooth. I haven’t seen “legs” like this in a wine for some time. A truly wonderful wine to have with a nice meal.

Where to start. Vinvineyards Torrontés wine was absolutely mind blowing. For me I tasted lychee and tropical fruits with a spicy aftertaste. It would be delicious with spicy food or seafood but was mind blowing on its own. The rose took me back to living in France. Very much in the Provençal style. Vin Vineyards. To start with, the back story of the winemaker is amazing. Vijay and his wife love red wine and steak so go to Argentina on holiday. After a few wine tastings, maybe a few too many, he ended up buying a parcel of land which is now a vineyard. Having no previous experience in the wine business I expected his wine to taste pretty average if I’m honest. However, this is fantastic, top of the range, premium wine. Not only that, it’s exclusive and not available to buy anywhere other than direct from the winemaker. My advice is to buy now whilst it’s still affordable. Don’t get me wrong, this is top of the range so not like a £5 bottle from your local supermarket but there is no way you would pay less than £35 to £40 for a bottle of this quality in a restaurant. Top notch Argentinian wines at reasonable prices!  I first came across Vin at the Three Wine Men tasting in London and they were our favourite wines of the show- I placed an order then and there.  I've since ordered two more cases.  I love their Malbecs, but also enjoy that they produce interesting blends (GSM and Malbec/Cabernet/Merlot) and varieties (Cabernet Franc) as a little something different.
